Today’s featured artist is Syd Mead. Syd Mead for those of you who do not know is an industrial designer, illustrator and futurist. He is well known for his designs for Blade Runner, Aliens, Short Circuit, 2010, and Tron. His work has influenced several generations of concept artists, illustrators, directors, comic artists and writers. And in short he has probably more than any other single person shaped our visual ideas of the future.
